GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ARRILAS / CORFU
Arillas resort is less than an hours walk south from Agios Stefanos. Harder to get to than other towns in north Corfu, it still keeps it's connections to the capital by running regular bus services throughout the year. Beautifully preserved, this remote settlement offers a glimpse into the true meaning of the island. Hardly touched by tourism, Arillas beach is mostly sand mingled with shingle which gently slopes down towards the sea. With winds brushing the coastline & edge of the beach, Arillas offers perfect conditions for watersports such as windsurfing. Tradition states that this is another of the islands rocky islets which is home to the remains of Odysseus Ship

ARRILAS TRAVEL INFORMATION
Over the headland from Agios Stefanos you will find the small quiet resort of Arillas, enjoyed by many for its lovely views and spectacular sunsets this is the resort for those wanting a relaxing get away from it all holiday. Arilas is situated on the spectacular North West Ionian Coast, around 30 miles from Corfu Town. The beach at Arillas is one of the smaller to be found on CORFU Greece, a narrow 15m sandy strip which stretches for around 250 m.
The water here is clear warm and shallow, so ideal for swimming, as usual sun beds and parasols are available
for hire and there is a good selection of watersports including waterskiing, windsurfing and paracending. Night life in Arillas tends to be fairly laid back, revolving around the lovely sea front tavernas and small bars. Food is excellent and fish dishes are a speciality. A couple of restaurants near the top of the village offer lovely views down the valley to the sea and Gravia island opposite Arillas. There are several small supermarkets for those in self catering accommodation and a few gifts shops. Car hire is also available for those wishing to explore the rest of of Corfu |
